These balls are also great to make for groups of people that have common allergies and/or follow a certain diet or lifestyle. They are vegan, dairy-free, gluten-free, refined sugar-free and can be made nut-free by swapping out the peanut butter for sunflower butter or tahini.


This easy recipe is proof that raw plant-based desserts need not be daunting to make and can be enjoyed by everyone. All 6 ingredients in this recipe are household staples (or easy to source) and minimal kitchen equipment is used (no food processor needed!), so you can save on money and dishes.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Bounty Balls
Ingredients
- 4 c shredded coconut
- 2 c tinned coconut milk
- 1/2 c peanut butter *
- 5 tbsp date syrup **
- 4 tsp vanilla extract
- 250 g vegan dark chocolate
Instructions
- Add the shredded coconut, coconut milk, peanut butter, date syrup and vanilla extract to a mixing bowl. Mix well.
- Cover the bowl with foil and leave in the fridge for one hour.
- Using a spoon, scoop up the mixture and form balls.
- Melt the chocolate in a microwave or stovetop. Dip the balls into the chocolate and coat them completely.
- When the balls' chocolate shell has hardened, they are ready to be devoured!
